We request the URL from our servers and report back the HTTP status code, how long it took to respond, and (for HTTPS sites) when the SSL certificate expires. If we can reach it but you can't, the problem is likely on your side — your network, DNS, or ISP. If we can't reach it either, the site is probably down for everyone.
